Fort Lapin – Belgium

Velo built a 20HL/brew fully automated brewhouse for Fort Lapin.
Kristof can manage the full process alone with minimum effort.
Brewer intervention is only required for mashing of grains and hop boiling.
Fort Lapin is also equipped with a mill and a grain transporter to the boiling tank.

Also present fully automated hot and cold water tanks complete with steam generators and refrigerators.
Three to four brews possible per day.

Fort Lapin increased its productivity by four. Additionally two 20HL and three 54 HL present on site.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR FORT LAPIN AS A BREWER?
We currently produce 4 times more beer with
respect to 4 years ago. We are very happy and
not looking to expand in the near future.

WHAT DID YOU LIKE THE MOST ABOUT THEM?
The way they cooperate and conduct business. I
believe there are synergies between nothern italians
and belgians.

HOW DO YOU THINK THE INDUSTRY IS GOING
TO CHANGE IN THE NEXT 20 YEARS?
Uncertain about the future since there too many
similar beers with different labels. Unsure about
the market but great for me since i produce
beers for third parties.
